The new 2021 facelifted A4, being the first luxury car that has been launched in this new year, surely is a serious upgrade from the previous generation A4s. Starting with the exterior, the whole car has gone through a serious exterior update. The upgrades are too significant to be unnoticed, that the car will distinctly stand out amongst its previous generations.

The A4 now comes with the same headlight and taillight designs as the 2020 A6, making it barely dissimilar. The front grille is updated to Audi’s latest ‘horseshoe’ design. Although it seems odd and small on the A4, it looks stunning on road. Some call it the ‘over-priced Hyundai Verna’, because of its front bumper design and the size of the horseshoe grille, but it sure does not feel like a Verna behind the wheels. An additional hidden upgrade is that now the door handles move diagonally towards the top rather than horizontal. The car only has the standard 17-inch wheels, no extra options.

Moving on to the interior of the car, it also has a few crucial upgrades. The steering wheel is a circle rather than the previous generation square ones, like the sport steering wheels on the RS models, to make it appear more sporty and luxurious. Although, it is not the flat-bottom steering wheels, just the regular ones. The infotainment screen is remarkably large compared to the previous generation, so now you can easily browse through the features on the infotainment screen with ease.

There are 2 variants – the base model, which is the premium plus, and the high end, which is the technology package. You would miss a few features with the premium plus variant when compared to the technology variant. Although, you will have to pay a bit more to get the technology variant. However, There is only petrol variant available in India.

To conclude, if you are searching for a compact yet sporty and luxurious sedan or a more affordable A6, the 2021 facelifted A4 would be a perfect fit.
