I’m thrilled to announce that my team, the Visioneers, and I have placed first in the UC Davis College of Engineering Dean’s Challenge! This competition was an incredible test of creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills, featuring four unique events: the Eggathon, Windsail Building Competition, Escape Room, and Scavenger Hunt.

The Eggathon was particularly challenging and fun. We were given a limited and random set of materials to protect an egg through rigorous tests, including rolling it down 15 stairs and dropping it from the second floor of Kemper Hall.

Out of 80 individuals and 20 teams, ranging from freshmen to seniors, we tied for first place with another outstanding team, scoring 96 points overall. In the picture above, you can see our team along with the UC Davis College of Engineering‘s Dean, Richard Corsi.

As a reward for our hard work and innovation, each team member received a $75 prize. This victory is a testament to the power of collaboration and ingenuity. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together, Annapurna Siva, Aniruddh Sekar Sivaram Sekar, and Varun. Here’s to many more challenges and successes ahead! πŸ’ͺπŸ₯‡
